Ox here!

Characteristics: Ox are steadfast and solid, born leaders, being quite dependable. patient, and inspire confidence in others. They speak little, when they do they are quite eloquent. They are tireless workers who are detail-oriented, trustworthy, caring and honorable. They tend to be eccentric. They anger easily and have fierce tempers Generally easy-going, they can be remarkably stubborn, and they hate to fail or be opposed.

I agree with much of this description. But I actually speak a lot, not sure how eccentric I am, do not anger easily nor have a fierce temper.

So that`s 16 traits I have and 4 I don`t. Does that mean I`m 80% of an Ox?

(BTW - this symbol happens to be the only tattoo I have on my body)

Goat/Ram

Characteristics: Goats are creative, elegant and highly accomplished in the arts. often shy, compassionate, pessimistic, and puzzled about life, well-organized, imaginative, and usually deeply religious. Goats are passionate about what they do and what they believe in. They are content with what they have. They tend to worry incessantly, be sensitive and anxious.

Compatible Signs: Rabbit, Pig (te he Meitzi...no wonder), and Horse

Unfortunately...this is actually me...to a T! I am trying sooooooooo hard to be better about the pessimistic...I have to admit though...not religious...that is probably the ONLY thing in the description that doesn`t fit me...but if you consider not being religious a religion...then I am pretty deep about that! HA!!

I`m a Monkey 1968 and My husband is a Rat 1960 ( hope he doesn`t get
offended by me posting that!!) And we are completely compatible!!
Although I dont agree with this....Monkeys are accident prone, limited self
control, get distracted and too agreeable!! That`s just not me, or is it?
And my hubby the Rat isn`t easily angered and he doesn`t love to
gossip....everything else for both of us is so right on the money.

Leah, the second I saw the character "Goat" next to you name I said to myself, "No wonder!!"  Did you really tatoo that character?? Cool!!

I wonder how come deer did not make to the zodiac sign.  I would love to be a deer.

Yes...I had been wearing a necklace for years with the symbol and my mom had told me when I was younger I was not allowed to have a tattoo until I was 18. SOOOO...on my 18th birthday...I woke up...got dressed...left the house without telling anyone...went by my self to the tattoo parlor...looked at everything they had on the wall (they skipped over me a few times thinking I was just waiting for someone...cuz NO ONE comes in alone...especially chics)...and finally decided on my chinese zodiac...so the artist took the necklace and did a drawing and then we discussed the colors...and the rest is history!

Oddly enough...my second tattoo (which is only an artist`s drawing at the moment) is a celtic cross. I am Irish...so it is a BIT more fitting than the chinese zodiac...and they MIGHT clash ever so slightly...but I think a lot about my tattoos...and they are meaningful to me. At the time...my chinese zodiac was important to me (still is) and helps me to remember a time when I was a bit more reckless with my life and helps to remind me where I am going. I think the Chinese have a pretty strong hold on some pretty solid thinking. And well...the Irish are just who I am...fun, energetic, loyal, strong drinkers, and strong tempers though!

HAHAHA...now that I think about it...I don`t strike myself as the tattoo type...hmm...which is funny...cuz I really love them...especially on men!! AHHAHA!!  Odd...I will have to ponder that a bit! I never really thought about it!  I am pretty conservative in most everything else...at least nowadays! I guess a part of my wild past still creeps through every so often!

Happy New Year everyone!!!

It was about a year ago, I was convinced that I was going through a Pre Mid-life crisis - for some reason I really wanted to have a tatoo of a dragon.  It was so silly though because I have always been afraid of the needles so none of my friends thought I would gather my courages to get it done.

I ended up getting an airbrushed fake tatoo... big chicken, I know.

Okay, back to the New Year!!

Any Stephen Colbert fans here? He had a real funny show the other night about the Chinese New Year.

Kathy,
Glad I`m not alone in disagreeing with some of our alleged traits. My
middle son is an accident waiting to happen but he is a Goat/Ram so go
figure!
Have a great weekend
Cheers
Sarah
