I`m not a startup - been doing the entreprenueral thing for about 16 years. But you never know - I might be a "startup" again on a new product or idea at any given moment. Startup people are usually just cool people - they usually have BIG ones (insert your own version - you know what I mean). StartUp Nation is a good name for a group of people like this. Startup folk are much like the people who started the good old U S of A - they had BIG ones. It took BIG ones just to get on a wooden ship and head over here. I would say in those early days, there were a lot of entreprenuers running around.

People need wagons. Start a wagon building business. Guns. Need a gunsmith. Shoe the horses. Need a blacksmith. You get the picture. Small business has been driving this country from the beginning. Why stop now?

Startup people have energy, spunk, and creativity. Hanging around them is cool - that`s why I left corporate America as a worker. It was cooler to be independent - like the first Americans. Think about some of those early explorers riding off into the west ... headed out to ... who knows ... whatever was over the next hill or across the next river. And you`re afraid?

I hang out here because I`m not too old to learn something. Never know, my next genius spark might come from someone here younger than the neckties I own (but don`t wear). I hang out here to also give back ... to pay back for helping hands extended to me over the years - for people who shared advice and listened during the good times and bad.

So sign up and have some fun. Everything happens for a reason. You stopped here on your journey. Stay awhile.

Not only, as Richard says, does the StartUp Nation community share your ideas, dreams, hopes and BIG ones... errr... we`re also here to listen to your problems and commiserate with you.
Where else can you hear about my aversion to lawn work... the jerky things banks do to small business people... ripoffs and scams... bad bosses.... the lack of marketing funds... etc.?
And, with the smart bunch we have, who knows, you`ll probably get a solution or two in no time

I personally would have had to spend a fortune to get the amount and quality of consulting I have recieved from the members of the SUN Forums! Thank you all!
It is not very often these days that you run into a person or company who is so dedicated to helping other people succeed as Startup Nation does.

I think it is really unbelievable that there is a website such as Startup Nation .
All the unlimited sources of information from people that you never would get
the chance to meet if this website was not here. I find answers to
questions on subjects that I never even would have thought about and just
for a few clicks. I think this site is so valuable if you are starting up a business (like myself) and if you already are in business and successfull.   Before I found
S.u.n.  I invested in  many books and spent a lot of research time on all different aspects of my business and not all that time was productive. You run across so much unnecessary information that simply is just a waste of your time
because its not specific to your needs.  Here the topics are categorized
so its  very easy to find what you are looking for.  This website is definitely  user
friendly and addictive!!  It has become a part of my morning ritual that I would miss if I had to travel (I dont have a laptop yet)!!. I sit  here first thing with my cup of coffee and start my day. I find everything interesting I must say even if it`s not what I am looking for at the moment and I do appreciate everyone`s input and their personalities. I am very busy now with trying to build my website, design a business logo and marketing that I don`t post as much as I would like to but I always make time to tune in several times a day.  Thanks Start up Nation !!
