I read about Mel Fisher, the guy who found the lost treasure galleon, the Atocha.
Each day, he would tell his crew, "Today`s the day."
That`s kind of the way I feel when I log in each morning to SUN. You never know when that great idea  or killer insight is going to hit you, or you`ll discover that new team member. Kind of exciting...
How `bout you? Anything you`re excited about?

Matt, I`m going to post that on the wall above my computer. "Today`s the Day."

It really is. I tend to have a problem with procrastination and a little reminder that "someday" is already here will help keep me moving.

As for excitement, my whole life is exciting! I have learned SO much from SO many people on here that I`m motivated to make progress faster on my next project. "Today`s the Day" I`m going to make some phone calls and send some emails to people that I`ve been putting off until "the right time."

I had a "Today`s The Day" last night (isn`t it funny how you get that feeling at 3am)?

I put my fears to bed about contacting a major consumer magazine about my biz...picked up the phone at 8:30am and made contact and they agreed to take a look at Pet Set stuff.  When I told hubby this story, he said "your Bud Fox!" from the movie "Wall Street".  As in trying to phone Gordon Gekko.

Maybe I should think about calling the Donald!

Good for you, Kim! People at magazines are people - just like you and me. They need good material for their magazines and generally will take a look at ideas presented professionally. The key is to make your material appropriate for their readers.

Thanks Vicki,

I know you are right...but there is something very frightening about contacting Vogue...to me, that magazine is the big Kahuna, and a review from them would be golden.

This editor I reached offered me her e-mail for future correspondence....she said she knows people at other consumer mags.   And she had a Yorkie...so guess what, she got a box of our Yorkies.  got to give away those samples sometimes.
