Managing font of different style, type and format can be big headaches for web designers with ever growing collection used in various websites as per requirement. Still they have to store and manage all these fonts very carefully to use for future requirement.  So here are some tips and tools for Font storing and management.

Store your font at Cloud storage: You can share your font on a cloud storage service like DropBox in which you can share with two systems at your home and office which ensures two backups of your bought fonts.

List fonts in relevant category:  Due to some laziness, we don’t categorize fonts we have used in the past. You can categorize your font with its type, language, client distribution and other parameter as per its usage so it can be found easily in the future when needed.

Tag or Bookmark it online:  fonts which are less important or resources where you have downloaded free, you can bookmark those links and store it to online bookmarking websites with the tagging option.

Popular font management software: If you do not want to do all above tasks manually, there is always the option to use software or tools for its management. Get below software to manage your fonts in few clicks.

  • Font Book (Mac)
  • Suitcase Fusion 3 (Mac & Win)
  • Fontcase (Mac)
  • FontExplorer X (Mac & Win)
  • Font Expert (Win)
