Whew!  Anxiety attack officially over!

I think I might actually try my hand at making bread this weekend - that`s a wonderful idea.  My kids will think I`ve been possessed by Martha Stewart - which is a major improvement over the usual Joan Crawford possession:

Joan Crawford: Did you scrub the bathroom floor today? DID YOU?
Christina Crawford: Yes, Mommie.
Joan Crawford: Yes, Mommie what?
Christina Crawford: Yes, Mommie Dearest.
Joan Crawford: When I told you to call me that, I wanted you to mean it.

(no. . .wire. . .hangers!!!)

Just curious...did MamaSloan get lost!? Jeff, Rich...have you axed the mom!? Why haven`t we heard from her in so long!!?? I miss getting the clippings! My mom has been VERY busy lately and has only sent me one in the past month. I am feeling MAJOR withdrawal issues!

Hi Leah

Thank you so much for asking about me.  I am going to let you in on some pretty exciting news, although you have probably heard by now:

RICHARD AND ALLISON ARE ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As you might expect, we are pretty excited around here, and our thoughts have turned completely from "clippings" to announcements, and parties and plans and flowers and parties and plans and parties....you know....!

So...hang in there.  We will calm down.  But , for now,  I want to warn you....love is in the air!

actually, leah, could you be a little more demanding than that - it would get my mom`s focus off of us and onto something else...

LOL....trust me...when it is alllllll over with...you will be glad that someone was focusing on the little things! Trust me!!! During...I thought I would have to throw large objects at my mom and my mother-in-law....now...I look back and realize I would`ve been a billion times more stressed if it hadn`t been for them taking care of soooooooo much!

Hang in there...(and schedule the actual day for sometime soon so it doesn`t drag on for too long)!   We gave the mom`s a 6 month window of opportunity to drive us nuts...um...and then we eloped without anybody (except immediate family) knowing and allowed them to plan the wedding day however they deemed appropriate (with some input obviously). Best decision we ever made!

Have fun with it...mom`s only get to do this once for each of their kids (hopefully). It is a very exciting time for her! (again...just remember to keep the engagement short)

Perhaps we could create a psuedo identity and begin posting in her section?
And, Mama Sloan would return to defend her territory!
