The links you found to support your argument only prove that the people who went to jail didn`t have a lawyer who knew Constitutional law as it relates to taxation.  If you`d dig a little deeper you`d also find real life cases of people who have won.  Read the links I provided and see for yourself.  These people are lawyers who know.

Since you didn`t bother to do any more research than that though I`m led to believe that that you don`t really want to know the truth.. you want to defend your position. Oh.. wait a minute.I get it now.. you`re a CPA.  You probably DO people`s taxes so of course you`re going to defend the lie.  Your livelihood depends on it right?  They`ve sold you on the lie so you perpetrate it because if you knew the truth you`d have to find another career.

That`s too bad because if you were willing to look beyond your own belief system and agenda and would dig deeper you`d find that everything I"ve said here is the truth.  I`m not trying to BS anyone here.. I`m trying to educate brainwashed Americans.  I`ve researched this for over two years and I know what I`m talking about.

BTW.. this isn`t the only fraud being perpetrated on the American people.. the banks are doing it with credit cards as well.  I`ve discharged over $40k because the money they allegedly "loan" you isn`t a loan at all.. it`s a CREDIT given in your name and entered into a computer and you can claim it.  But that`s another story .  I`m done with this discussion.  If you want to know what`s true go for it.. but I won`t answer any more of your "I`m right and you`re wrong" arguments.
The Best!
John

If you`re so sure of yourself why don`t you provide a link to an actual U.S. Court case where the noncomplying taxpayer won against the IRS?  In addition, why don`t you share with us whether or not you`ve taken this advice you`re dishing out, unless of course you`re afraid the IRS will read what you write here and use it against you.

JohnMichael:

This is getting old - and ridiculous.  Practice what you preach if you must, but you will find very few converts here.

For the government to lose, the whole country, or at least a good portion of it would have to pool resources, have petitions and litigate as a whole.  I am not sure enough people would have the resources, or the time it would take to fight the government.  I am sure there is no law about franchise or business taxes in the constitution either, but the IRS gets the money anyway.  If I ever won a $10 million dollar lottery, I might even unite as many people as possible and use that money, at least a few million to fight the government tooth and nail.  I agree, we should not be so taxed unless we were getting a lot for our money, which we are not.
