I knew in advance how much work would be involved in creating a significant on line presence, but I must admit I am overwhelmed.

I am trying to do everything myself due to lack of funding.
I have been spending so much time with Joomla 1.5 that I have no time to produce content, find sponsors/advertisers, etc.

I need help in all areas.

The site in my link below was hacked in with Dreamweaver, my Joomla (local) site is far, far, far superior. But it is taking a lot of time.

Thanks to SUN for all of the help they have provided!

e:mail: ripose@gmail.com or via website or message me.

Ripose,

I am in the process of building a site and can empathize with you! The best advice I can give you is to spend thirty minutes watching a video about building a profitable website. It has been a life saver for us.

You can go to our profile and click on our website button at the bottom of the page to find it.

Hope this helps you as much as it has us.

Ripose,

Sorry to be negative....but let`s say your site become successful, what prevent others from copying your site and steal your market? After all, someone else may be better at building website than you, for cheaper, quicker, better-looking, and they may work from somewhere in India or China for cheap.

That`s the first thing I ask myself whenever I have a new idea. If there is no patent or network effect, I move on.

Thanks for your pointer I`ll check it out. Although I am not looking for paid assistance. That`s why I am on SUN.

This is supposed to be SUN (start up nation) not PDN (put down nation).

There is nothing I can do to prevent others from copying my site.
How could anyone do it cheaper? I am doing it myself.
I am providing content with revenue coming from advertisers and referrals, do you think someone is going to steal these from me too?
How can they steal my market unless they steal my content? I can`t stop this either.
You can`t patent information, however there is a little something called copyright.
Have you ever heard of laws and lawyers and the justice system?
Like I said I can`t stop anyone from copying, but unless they are "outside" of our laws I will sue them.
Do you have any idea what the business world is really like? Skirting the law(s) is what some people specialize in.

Maybe I`ll just move to China and steal stuff.

You`ll find a lot of good advice here on SuN but I wouldn`t count on assistance in all those points you listed above.  This isn`t to say that others won`t be willing to help as this is a generous community (or so I think).  As an example, I don`t think anyone will just do your copywriting for you.  Rather you`re more likely to find resources on writing good copy.  But more than anything you will find encouragement and people to point you in the right direction.  Most of us here know that you have to wear many hats as an entrepreneur and that success comes with a lot of hard work.  Just because you have a long list of stuff to do, doesn`t mean it cannot be done!  You`d be surprised how many of us work our way through the list, doing different things and learning along the way - just like you.

Thanks Steve, I really do have a lot to do but I am not in a big rush.
I have only been working on the new Joomla site for 2 weeks.
I intend to write most material myself, however there is always room for more.

Any Ideas on how I can refine my request for assistance?

I guess I still don`t understand what you mean by "assistance".  If you`re looking for people who have various sorts of skills, check out the Startup Nation Marketplace.
