Hey Everyone,
It has been a while since I`ve been on this site, glad to see all of the familiar faces still around. I`m looking for some feedback on my companies new site.

Viewing with IE7 yields a lot of red "x"  - image missing.

Not a problem with Fire Fox

Not sure why vwebworld`s IE 7 would be showing the red "x" but it works fine on mine. Also that he mentioned that it is working correctly on his FireFox leads me to believe that its a faulty IE7 or corrupt temp file.

On the industry standard 1024x768 it works on the layout but the content portion (i.e. the bottom frame) seems a bit pushed down due to the size of the upper frame. It`s one of those preference things though and might be more work than what you want to do with it but when navigating between the links your viewers have to scroll to get a good look at the content. It should really stand out when they load a new page. My suggestion would be to reduce the height of the upper frame and it`s images. This may not be a factor depending on who normally looks at your website. If they are on higher resolution monitors, then the content will be seen. I`d check your site stats (if you have access to them) and see what types of screen resolutions are viewing your site, then design for the many and not the few.

Otherwise, what you`re doing looks good.

My initial thoughts... First I was confused by your feature. I thought, "What do metals have to do with this creative company?" I would put featured company stuff someplace other than on your home page, where I would want to see YOUR promotions, and what you can do for me. (And the featured image is a link that goes nowhere...)

I scrolled down, and saw something that to me shouted print layout. Because of the size of my browser window, I could not see "first, next and lastly" all at the same time without fiddling.

This text sounds a bit awkward to me: Click here to see some ways we previously bridged that gap. I`d change it to: Click here to see some ways we`ve bridged that gap for our clients, or something like that.

The large header on every page preventing me from getting to the meat of the information annoys me... not just on your site, but most sites, so it`s probably just a personal quirk of mine.

I expect to see more color and teasers on the "our work page," to entice me to click on the portfolio links to see what I can see. The goal is to draw people through your site so they can`t resist the clicking and exploring.

Everything else looks pretty good. I love the two-column effect you have going through the site. It works.

I also like that you have kept your text clean and uncluttered. Very nice to read, for me.

I know you`re a designer, but you need to keep file sizes down. You main header image is 187 kb. Using a different design technique i was able to knock off 117 kb of that 187!
header image

The problem is file sizes can quickly reach high levels when in aggregate, for example, your web portfolio page is only a few kb from being a megabyte in filesize!
