Hopefully sooner as opposed to later, your startup is going to grow or expand.  When this happens, you will have to hire employees.  Naturally you are good at what you do,  but don't have a clue about the application or hiring process; what laws apply, what to look for, how to find the information you need?  This is where I can help.

First there are federal( and maybe state) laws that govern hiring such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) the Drivers Privacy Protection Act (DPPA) and complicated health related laws called HIPPA.  In order to comply the agency doing the screening should be a consumer reporting agency (CRA) which is what Gold Shield is.  We provide you with all of the necessary release forms for you and the application (we even have applications we can fax you) Once the screening is completed ( which should take less than 24 hours) your report will include:

  • Name, date of birth, and social security number confirmed.
  • Nationwide FCRA approved criminal search.
  • Nationwide sex offender base and sexual predator search.
  • Search of civil records in every jurisdiction the applicant has lived.
  • Driving record report.
  • Verification of professional license
  • Results of interview with current and/or past employers and references.
  • Military record ( when applicable)
  • Credit activity.

Naturally you control the searches you want. I believe the employer should get only what she needs, and not have to pay for what she does not need.  In addition to applicants we provide screening for new vendors so you can further protect your ever growing business.  Visit http://www.goldshieldli.com to review all of our services.  I am always glad to answer any questions or help you set up a program.

#1 Fundamental: Stand-Out in the Crowd.

Stand out in the crowd. Attract customers. Be remarkable.

You can accomplish all of the above by answering the following:

  1. What you do and why do you do it!
  2. Who is your target audience?
  3. What is your promise to your customers?

Developing answers to these questions will help you create your own stand-out in the crowd brand. It will allow you to distinguish your company from everyone else. Clients just don't buy products & services. They buy promises, reputation & how your company makes them feel.
