As predicted, the Columbus, GA Little League team took the World title last night beating Japan 2-1. It is so much fun watching these kids play the game at this level.

ESPN story for your review.

I saw the end. The pitcher got so excited during the last pitch he hit the poor kid from Japan in the arm. They were all crying, and I was kind of proud and heartbroken at the same time. I was surprised at how emotional these little boys were. My husband said it didn`t used to be that way, but I think he just forgets what it was like when he was 12.

Portsmouth, NH made it really far. They are considered 5th in the world right now! Portsmouth is only 25 minutes from me and I used to live there. You can bet we are proud of our Portsmouth team too.

Chris,

The Portsmouth team did look good and it is a great accomplishment just to get into the series. It`s something those kids will never forget - win or lose.
