I designed my website myself to promote my business which is virtual assisting. The first page is an effort to let those who know about writing and publishing know that I know what I’m talking about. I realize that viewing this first page, the person might think that I am mainly interested in writing jobs and that is true. This is what I feel could be the main drawback of this first page.

Hi Sheila,

I don't want to be mean, but you asked for a critique and I'll be honest, there's nothing professional about your website. Starting with your domain name, it's too long and will be hard for anyone to remember.

People don't read websites, they scan them. No one will read all the information that you have on your pages, they will just pass you buy.

I can give you a full video website critique if you're interested, then you can hear my comments and see what happens when I go through your website.

Take a look at some of the samples of Video Website Critiques

Thanks for the critique. I think you're right about the domain name. I was worried it wasn't easy to remember but people have just bookmarked it from what I've seen from the feedback I've gotten. I've had almost 200 visitors who haven't passed me "buy" quite yet so I guess its something about the content I have on my site that keeps people coming but not hanging around. I'll look into changing my domain name but I don't think its possible to change it and keep my package in general meaning most domain companys will not let you do that.
