I must admit, that even though it`s a very cheesy book, Jack Welch is a great writer, and in one book he covers most themes there is to managing, planning and running a business. He even goes through some basic personal characteristics that the `winners` in his definition all have. I must say it was a good, inspiring and very easy-to-read book, much recommended!

Jack Welch (with Suzy Welch, whatever she did?): Winning

I`ve browsed it at the bookstore before but haven`t given it a good reading.  I do think he has an inspiring way of writing.

Definitely, and you might wonder if he really needs all that credit for what happened in GE. But keep that aside and read it as an inspiration on a lot of subjects within business.

A thing I did like about it is that you can read it easily. I had it on my table next to the bed, reading for a couple of weeks, and it wasn`t hard to get through.

Give it a try Steve :-)

Malte,

If you like Jack Welch in written form, you might want to check out his (and wife, and former Harvard Business Review Editor, Suzy`s) BusinessWeek podcast. they`re short and insightful:

Enjoy!
