Craig (of Craigslist) went on the The Colbert Report to talk about his new site for donating money to educational causes. You can catch the interview here.
On the show, Colbert mentioned a straw poll in which people were voting for their favorite "canidates" and putting money behind them. Stephen Colbert said all the money put towards him would go towards the schools in his home state. At this point (here`s the latest data from the poll), they have raised over $36K for the schools.
I just think this is an awesome example of using influence for greater good, and a fun way to get people involved in fundraising. Does anyone else have examples to share?
