Since, some members of the nation are new to the whole matrimonial thing, I thought it might be a nice idea, as a kind of SuN community wedding present, to offer some nicknames that old married couples use for each other.
For instance, "The Bitter Half."
How `bout you guys? Know any good ones these guys can mutter under their breath?

I just want everyone to know that, as a newlywed (who right now is late for a Friday evening date with my new bride)  I am officially not interested in any of these nicknames.

(but I will be checking in - just to make sure this forum is ok, you know, that`s it`s not broken or anything)

Mr. Wonderful............It loses something in text.........when properly enunciated, dripping with sarcasm, it will evoke either dagger stares or hysterical laughter!  Fortunately for my marriage, usually the latter - my guy is quite the good sport!

Tracy,
I can just hear those words being uttered.....We use a lot of
sarcasm in our house too.....My husband is refered to as the
"King of the Commercials" he is known to change channels
whenever commercials come on but inevitabely changes to yet
another commercial!

I call my hubby, "Mr. Two-Dimensional." He calls me "The Comic Stripper." Not like I haven`t heard that one before.

I don`t have a hubby, but the names I use on my baby include:  sweet pea, hunnybunny, munchkin, schnookums, princess, babycakes, giggles, smartie, sweetdarling and then there`s the not so nice ones for various occasions: boogynose, stinkpot, crabcakes, and mushytushy (since she just turned one, these names fit!).

So Joel, the real reason I wanted to revive this thread is to congratulate you on the marraige and wish you 100 years of happiness.  I hope you`ve found your marraige to be more wonderful every day.
