I totally agree that an online marketing will grow to become marketing. As shoestring said before, 30% of the people in the world have access to internet. Just imagine how big this would become ?

I think the future of online business is telecommuting. People earn as much as twice to thrice by working at home... Although the workload may be similar, for many people it's the best way to have work freedom and I think that is what is starting to flourish right now...

There is almost ne question that the most lucrative businesses will involve the online exchange of information. The trend to the information based business has a better business model in lower operating costs and sustained profit margins.

The information must be timely and relevant for your target market.

There are a great deal of ideas out there on the selling of information and how to start that type of business.

I think the ease of information exchange itself has made online businesses very lucrative. That being said, online marketing has shifted the balance of power to the consumer, and is fast replacing interruptive promotions with permission based marketing.

Another factor to consider is the need to track online promotions and their ROI, which is probably the biggest dilemma facing online marketers nowadays.
