And for anyone here who is starting a web business or doing anything regarding technology, it would be good to know that Obama is the only candidate who has laid out a technology plan.  Even as fast as technology and the internet advances, the US is way behind most other contemporary tech-driven countries, especially in terms of cellular and wireless advancements and providing high-speed internet to all citizens.

Obama voted FOR `net neutrality` which put very simply, is keeping the internet open and free for all communications and content.  The biggest issue here is that if the net is not kept neutral, corporations like the telcos, software and hardware providers can control what content you see or not.  This basically means that you couldn`t visit any site you wanted.  Or put in terms for many of us, possible customers might not be able to access our business websites.

McCain by contrast voted AGAINST net neutrality.  He wants to put the content power into the hands of the telcos, not in ours.  (Hillary didn`t vote on that issue because not all senators vote on every bill for several possible reasons.  I don`t happen to know why in this case.)

This is a grave issue for the future of business.  Obama will keep the net open.

I guess I don`t need to sing the praises of Obama. Steve is doing a great job all by himself.

In my opinion, we need a woman in the white house.. It`s time we give someone else a chance...

This election shouldn`t be about gender, and it definitely shouldn`t be about race. It should be about which candidate is best for president. And to this point - at least on the deomocratic side, the people are speaking loud and clear. They want Obama!

I totally agree, this election should not be about gender or race but about what`s best for this country.

And that`s where the strong opinions start a flyin` - we all have our two cents regarding what`s best for the country, what should happen and who should do it.

This is going to be a monumental election to be sure and it looks as though through all the debating and differences of opinion that the best outcome will be that more people will get involved than ever before!!!!

DKING...
We can not choose a president simply because of one specific reason.. The Internet is only part of the equation. We need to wake up people... I`m assuming you chose bush because of what reason? Or was it that he chose himself to be president? He was never elected and we all know that.

As for Obama, In my opinion he`s not running an electoral campaign he`s running a movement and I would hate to make someone with a Malcolm X mentality our next president.

Or whats your reason? because he wrote a book? Well, well... Isn`t that why people here in California Chose Arnold (The Terminator) for Governor? Hillary has a proven track record and I am pretty confident that she can solve most of the Countries Problems.

Edgar, I don`t mind having an intelligent discussion about politics, but what you just stated is so abhorrently racist,  it`s not even worth dignifying with a response. Everytime I think this country has finally turned the corner on race, ignoramuses like you remind me just how far we have to go.

Edgar -

I think maybe a post like that needs to be worded a bit more carefully, it does have a certain confrontational feel about it.  That`s not to say you meant it that way, I`m just saying words are important and can be easily misinterpreted.

Dale -

If you feel a post truly isn`t worth dignifying with a response, then don`t.

Thanks!
