I had idea for marketing a book I have written, and I know this is place to find out if it is a good idea.  I have always noticed that wives drag their husbands to places where they are bored and there is little for them to do.

My book is geared for guys (fisherman) so I was thinking of setting up boths at local crafts fairs or farmers markets.  Place I have been dragged to and bored.  Do you think this will work and does anyone have any experience with it?

I think it`s a great idea and would be a lot of fun ... we`re not all husbands or fishermen, but I`ve been to too many "chick" events where it would have been great to take a quick man-break (or have all the guy stuff, including your book, destilled and displayed in a "dudes only" booth).

At tradeshows you can find hospitality suites, but I`ve never seen anything like that at the arts/crafts/etc. things I`ve attended ... you could spin it to where the wife/gal checks him in like a hat (a good woman would do that;~).

It sounds like a good idea to me!

I always leave my husband at home when I go shopping, but I know my Dad goes with my Mom, and he always ends up just sitting on a bench, waiting...and waiting...

He would love a "man" place to hang out.

I knew there were others out there like me.  I like the idea of checking husbands in.  LOL.

Really good idea..  Give the lady a wrist band when they check in.. :)

And in the booth ->  flat panel tv with ESPN, magazines, maybe a indoor basketball post etc...

it needs space... but can be designed to take less space and can be sold to grocery stores, malls... countless..

and a matched one for him, "if found wandering around with glazzed expression, please return to the man cave ..."
