Hello All! My Partner and I are in the process of creating a logistics/cupply chain consulting business targeting small businesses, start ups, and entrepreneurs. The unique value proposition is: 1. the focus on small business, 2. we will help establish/optimize the clients supply chain and then train/ create processes for their employees to manage it ongoing. No long term commitment on the clients part. There are many aspects of supply chain and logistics that we are targeting in order to help clients such as: International documentation and compliance programs, carrier selection and management, compliance programs when the customer is a big box retailer, etc.
It doesn't appear that there are any real strong resources available to small businesses in this arena. To ensure we are creating a portfolio of services that will best serve potential clients we need to better understand the challenges entrepreneurs and start ups face with their supply chain. What would you identify as your top 5 challenges with your supply chain? Has it grown with your business, or as business has grown has the supply chain become a bottleneck? Is it appealing to have a consultant create a scalable, efficient process that you would ultimately self manage?
We truly thank all of you for any insight you may be able to provide. Our web site is www.bluevalorlogistics.com.
