Here`s a new one....
I logged in and saw I had two messages. I went to the In Box, saw 1 message, read it, and now I still have an unread message showing. And yet...there isn`t any such message.

My supposition is that SuN has finally broken through the new quantum computing technology, and is using another dimension for storing messages? If that`s the case, then I need to know what upgrades I should do to my hardware in order to access that X-dimension.

`Course....it could be I`m over-thinking this, and there`s a more mundane reason for this message indicator to be showing?

I too have a haunted inbox.  Who is this mysterious message from?  Where does it really reside?  What are they trying to tell me?

Perhaps they are the ghosts of those Microsoft Ads that you took down this morning coming back to haunt Startup Nation.

I LOVE you guys!

The ghost message was from a spammer. A conscientious StartupNation community member alerted us to this spammer and we took immediate & decisive action.

As a result of this spammer being deleted, his/her private messages were also obliterated - this is a handy feature of our community and messaging system. However, apparently the number of unread messages that shows up in your account hasn`t yet caught up with these wonderfully cool actions.

Stay tuned.

Ah Hah! So it`s not quantum computing, but rather the first implementation of The Phantom Zone! I KNEW when I was reading all those Superman comic books that this type of technology wasn`t too far into the future......

What I`m thinking is there may be a community member who specializes in the paranormal. We`ll do a seance, then exorcise the ghost in the machine! (Somehow, there`s this song running through my mind....."I hear you knockin`...."

So now it`s been two days and I still have that notice of a new message that doesn`t exist.  I know you deleted the spammer`s account but why is it taking so long for this person`s non-existent messages to disappear?

I`m thinking they didn`t actually delete the spammer, only sent them to The Phantom Zone. Think of this message notification as a call from the spiritual world---a sort of guide to living a higher-vibrational life. It`s like an icon of faith that beyond our mundane world of trial and trouble, there lies a Xanadu of wonder and amazement. Gaze upon the "You have 1 new message" as a message from The Great Beyond, letting you know that You Are Not Alone....

Craig...Joel just doesn`t want to attract too much media attention to our web development.  I did, in fact, discover the 12th dimension.  I can`t go into details...it involves "string theory", anti-matter, parallel universes and all that fun stuff.  One thing we do know, is that it`s where all undelivered and deleted spam messages reside.

The ghost message in Steve and your inboxes is caught between our universe and the spammiverse.  Let me give it a little shove over to the other side.

Well shoot....so it isn`t a message from God?
Oh well....it`s gone now, and I feel alone again. Maybe I`ll just email CampSteve every day, like....100 times, and then we`ll feel better.

Excellent news, though, that you`ve finally proven string theory. I`ve always felt that it was responsible for string cheese, but for some reason, whenever I asked various professors I`d call at universities around the country, they`d hang up on me. I don`t know why. Still, it`s good to know research is going forward in the entreprenerial community. We`ll beat those darn academics yet!

Craig... Please STOP sending me messages!!!  I thought you were kidding.  I spent an hour or so deleting your rants from my inbox.  They make no sense anyway.  What`s with all the philosophical self-discussion on things like cats and creative license in Midwestern farmhouse design?  Stop telling me about the future of the internet as if you`ve already seen it!!!  (Did anyone fall for this?)  :)

WHAT?!! You don`t see the global implications of cats as they`re associated with Midwestern farm design? OH....the Humanity of it all...! I feel a spiritual sadness at the lack of vision, the pain, the gloom, the doom, and the isolation of mankind, all of which could so easily be changed if ONLY people understood.

Fine. So I won`t enlighten you in emails. Just know this: I have SEEEEeen the future! I have met with those of The Phantom Zone, using the prototpyical technology of Startup Nations` "Multi-Demented String Mail" (MDSM). They, themselves---The Ghostly Ones---have shown me visions! They, themselves, told me that I must remove the tinfoil I was wearing around my head all these years.

That`s okay. When I`m transported to Xanadu to live with prime rib dinners at my leisure, don`t say I didn`t try to help!
