I hope mutiny doesn`t occur as I post a topic that`s definitely "un-business", but i`m looking for some creative ideas here and hopefully you can help:

I`m looking for a great vacation spot for a 4-day break from entrepreneurship to get refreshed, recharged and less pale!

Anyone have some good recommendations of a trip that would combine sunshine, nature, and some good culture?

thanks in advance!

I loved Catalina Island, so pretty and peaceful - I dont know about culture though.
Maybe Carmel for culture and it has all the other elements too

I have always wanted to hit the Florida Keys.  I think this is the right time of year to do it too.  They defiantly have a "culture" down there, not to mention sunshine, beauty, and a little nightlife.  Just make sure to go either before or after the spring breakers.

thanks! does anyone have any info on the BVI? British Virgin Islands? I hear the weather`s great, the food`s great and you can charter sailboats and hop from port to port...

I visited Lake Lure, NC a couple of years ago and absolutely loved it. We stayed at a resort in the Mountains, went horseback riding, our children played on the beach, we took a small boat tour on the Lake with a fun and knowledgeable guide. He even let my daughter steer the boat. It was a golf resort (if you`re a golfer). It was very enjoyable and relaxing. Hope that helps!

Rich,

Go to "the Sanctuary Spa at Camelback"  Phoenix.  It is the most zen like wonderful place on earth.  I am from Farmington Hills and my husband and I go every year.  You can get a flight ouyt of Detroit early Thursday morning, with the time change you have the whole day and then you return Sunday at 3:00 into Detroit at 9:00(lots of time to unpack) so you get four full days in.

The "spa Casitas"have amazing rooms, outdoor tubs.  The service is top notch.  The food is gret and there are NO children(I leave my five at home)  Mostly business execs and athletes.  You can hike, spa, play tennis or workout.  you can also sit by the most incredible pool ever!!!

Feel free to ask away.  I promise you can`t go wrong here!!

Pam Turkin

Powerful Greetings

Don`t you think sunshine is a little over-rated?

You`re always welcome in Central Pennsylvania.

We just had a little snow yesterday--about five inches in some places.

I know of a great place--a special secret place known only by a few.
It involves flying into airport code TCB...I can only tell you the rest if you get there.
