I have a movie website, and I'm thinking about printing out t-shirts with the site's logo on it, and handing it out for free..I'll be wearing one myself.

For me this is less costly than other promotional methods I've thought about, but I'm a bit hesitant to follow through cos I don't know what kind of results I'll get in return. Plus my budget is $4-$6 per shirt, and I've yet to find a local printing shop that charges that low..Any Advice Please.....

As far as your site visitors, who exactly do want them to be?  Just movie lovers?  Or are they any type of movie lovers?  - Indie, Sci-fi, Comedy, etc...

I suspect that you're looking to create buzz about the site with the t-shirt promotion - is that right?

I do have some (possibly) very effective ideas for you, but before I go into them, and assume too much, and sounding like a fool, I want to hear your feedback.

The site is on Free movies and yea m visitors will be movie lovers and people who love to watch tv in general. The site will also carry tv shows, documentaries, music videos etc. Let me know your ideas pls.

In my humble opinion by making promotional t-shirts can be very positive surges youth. And in any case I think it can never go against you and more on your site theme

I think its a good idea. For cheap printing, try cafepress or one of those online sites.

Btw, why don't you distribute your printed T-Shirts in a interesting way among real movie lovers?

Where will you get them?

Drop in your nearby movie theaters. You just create an easy & small contest there, give away the T-Shirts to the winners. I am sure they will participate, enjoy and remember this contest and your website for long.

That sounds like a good idea, you'll reach more people for the same number of t-shirts. Maybe get some cheap business cards/flyers done to give everyone too and it could work quite well.

Promotional T-shirts is an ideal way to advertise your website or create recognition for your company among public. By giving out promotional t-shirts your logo and message will always be displayed at anywhere that people wearing them.
