This is a new concept for our company. We just started doing managers` meetings and was hoping for some advice on what works for you or your company to make an effective managers` meeting. Thanks in advance.

I have trained over 130 Fortune 500 Companies in the past 12 years as a Corporate Trainer. And something I always train the Executives, Managers,Supervisors & Team Leaders on is this.

Catch people doing things right. What gets Rewarded Gets Repeated.

Send hand written Thank You /Acknowledgement notes to your staff. It goes along way.

I need more information before I can give you advice. I`d like answers to
these questions:

1. What is the purpose of your manager meetings?
2. What was the reason you want them or started them?
3. How often do they occur or have you decided?
4. What level of management are the attendees?
5. Who leads/facilitates them and what is their position?
6. What departments are represented at these meetings?
7. How much time have you allocated for each meeting or have you
decided?
8. Are you "forcing" this on the people or is this something they have
asked for?

The answers to these questions will allow me to give you a more precise
response. Otherwise, I`ll generalize without much use to you.

Best regards,
Steven Cerri
