On another topic, I ran into Alex Cochran`s
post, a new member (I think?) to the community. In that post he
references an eBook he wrote (downloads to free PDF file), called "Double your Retail Return -- Without Spending a Single Cent."
We have many different topics flying around on these forums, but
perhaps one of the largest categories involves eCommerce and selling
something to people. Although it`s "obvious" that to sell something,
you have to own it and store it somewhere, I wonder how many people
really understand that concept.
Alex` book is a little complicated, but only because it uses numbers.
Most people have a bit of a problem holding numbers in mind, but
because this is something you can go back to again and again, it`s not
so bad. You can read something, think about it, then go back and read
it again.
It`s an excellent breakdown of how inventory works, what does it mean,
how does it represent real money, and how can you use that inventory.
Now, I`m not a highly-trained inventory management control kinda guy,
but from what I read, I believe there`s a significant amount of really
helpful "stuff" in this book. :-)
