Hey everyone, I'm new here. I just started an online based "sort of" auto broker business in St. Louis about two months ago called, "Strawp." By "sort of", I mean I don't buy vehicles from auctions for people. I simply handle all the time and hassle put into buying a car to save individuals time and hassle doing it themselves. You can find my website at www.strawp.com A college buddy helped me create the site using Wordpress. I've had around 300 people visit my site with only 2 submitting applications to get started. I feel like like my site is missing something or isn't delivering the message well enough. I would appreciate any feedback on how to make it better or make my business better in general. If you know of any issues you have had in the past with buying a car (used or new) please let me know. I want to help people have an easier/ less stressful car buying experience. Thanks a ton!

Hi Atracy.  Well I don't think your site is a bad one.  It's actually pretty neat and clean.  But I do think it is missing something.  Statistics show that you have about 8 seconds to capture a visitor's attention or they leave.  So I think you need to add a large image or a slider with a few, and perhaps even a video that explains what you do.  I think that it's initially difficult to tell exactly what you do, so that needs to be the first thing that people see when they come to your site.  Address the pain points of car buying and what solution you offer and let that be the first thing people see.

In terms of SEO, you really should optimize your title and meta description tags.  Make sure that you include keywords in those but also write your description tag so that it appeals to people, as they will see this in search engine results.  You get up to 70 characters to use for your title tag and up to 160 for your description tag, so you might as well make good use of them, you know?  :-)
