Well, while many VCs and/or angel investors focus on management as one of the primary investment criteria, they also know that many innovative technologies aren’t necessarily the result of a team effort. Moreover, they know that many seed or development stage companies find it difficult to attract qualified management due to financial constraints.
So, don’t let the lack and support of fellow team members discourage you in your quest to attract outside financing. Make sure you identify the gaps in your team; this will at least assure potential investors that you are aware of the need for additional talent to execute your business plan.
You indicated in your post that you “helped raise $3 million” and are “finally ready to close shop”. This is somewhat contradicting the latter of your post, so may be you should clarify that.
If you are interested, please feel free to send me a PM and I will see if I can give you a few pointers. I hope this helps.
