The National Business Incubator Association or NBIA www.nbia.org , is the online community source for business incubators management staff. It talks about how to run an incubator with support and service for those people. However, Business incubators/ Accelerators are located all over the country. Here in Metro Detroit we have iMECA (www.imecagroup.com), Automation Alley (www.automationalley.com), Tech Town (www.techtownwsu.org/). Each of these incubators, like many of them nationwide have hundreds of start-up to medium sized business. These business are members of the incubators through a rigorous process of acceptance. They are there to grow. Currently there are no online networks with community and information to assist, collaborate, get informed, and so on that is focused on business incubators. There are many requirements of businesses affiliated with these accelerators/incubators and I feel that an online community to help them would be very powerful. I think that Statup Nation should address this growing segment of business and offer a website tailored to the life of business incubator business.

My wife and I belong to a group called BNI. It`s a business organization designed to help each other. The cool part about each chapter is that they usually dont allow more than one type of business in, meaning if your a hair salon, your the only hair salon in that chapter. We`ve gotten a good amount of work from the group and have gotten good deals too. It`s also nice to just sit and talk with like minded professional people. Thanks for the links.
