What a great guy Donny is! After being at the CNBC studios today, I got the sense that he is genuinely a proponent of entrepreneurship. It`s a show, yes, but not just a show. This really means something to him and Jeff and I were thrilled to be part of his show.
We`re on tonight if you can catch the show. The focus was on StartupNation`s Life Planning process and people who`ve gone on to live better lives as a result of deliberately making a Life Plan of their own.
Check it out on The Big Idea tonight on CNBC.
Also featured are two people who are living their life plan, one who left Time, Inc. to become a stand-up comedian (Steve Ballenger) and another who left her job as a trader to become a cookie baking entrepreneur (Mya Jacobson of Feed Your Soul Cookies).
Both entrepreneurs had "comfortable" but unfulfilling lives where they were stuck "workin` for the man" at day jobs. Since pursuing their life plans, though, they are able to say they are leading life the way they want to now and are much happier.
It`s so easy to get caught doing something that just pays for life without actually making life what it should really be all about for you. If this sounds familiar to you, it`s never too late to take a close look at yourself and make a change. That may mean leave your day job and start a full-time business or it may mean start a part-time endeavor. You`ll learn which suits you better when you go through the life planning process.
See you on TV tonight!
