I didn`t do a very exhaustive search to see where these suggestions should go, but as a big fan of the StartUpNation podcast I thought I would try and give something back: Some suggestion for the website.

I really like the website, but I had a few ideas that might be interesting:

1- Allow people to bookmark forum threads and show those bookmarks in their profile.

Why: Forums are nice, but digging through them to get the gems of information can be daunting at best. Allowing experienced SUN`ers to mark forum threads would be very valuable. It is a similar concept to digg.com, where the users can elevate the status of story by voting on it.

2- Allow more interactivity with the 10 steps to open a business. It is one thing to give us a drop down to say the state of our start-up, but I think it would be more interesting to allow us to show the world (if we want) where we are in those steps.

Most of the those steps offer amazing resources to help you on your way, but just think how powerful it would be for the community if we could re-upload those resources and share what we have done. With how cheap storage space is nowadays and how easy it is to upload documents it could be an easy way to make a read difference.

Well keep up the great work and thank you for StartUpNation.

Healthweaver... I love your number one suggestion. It would be great to evaluate a post or discussion for how useful it was for another member. Of course your other comments/suggestions were pretty good too.

BookMark Forum Threads...and posts. Damn It! I want SuN to assign every post their own Number. When i refer to a post within a thread i don`t want to refer to the whole damn conversation. POST # 3862497 has a wonderfull way of expressing the ultimate screw you derivative of unique bastardship...etc. etc. Think about it. Each post gets a number for reference. It helps everyone zoom in on specific posts. Your search engine will have 3862497 automatically go to that thread. Then we will scroll down to the number. HEY!!!...just do it.

I thought I might be chided for my insistence and vocabulary. Thanx much Joel. Easy reference tools are valuable. I also think that a chat room for specific topics of SuN choosing would be valuable, as instant conversing of topics allow for one on one dynamic creative brainstorming and problem solving. Please consider allowing those members with ratings of Mentor Status(maybe by stars representing their level of expertise), to oversee the greeting, discipline, notices, and  participation in these specific chat rooms. It would mean that a facilitator/host need not be ever present, but certainly would extend the ability of SuN, by their willingness to be active leaders and mentors, so that SuN management can fill the need of One on One chat Mentorship. Of course you would define the responsibilties. And as reward for Chat Mentorship I think their should be incentives. When you get to that discussion, featuring star rated mentor chat hosts with their businesses on their own page would be great. Hope they remember the guy stating that except for discrediting another poster, we should throw off niceness in a sometimes frantic and desperate, even manic search for the answers we crave. StartUpNation has the potential of Famously being the all in one site for SB categorial answers. So a must have for me would be that specific answers of definition or insight and on target answers...would be found by first clicking on a SuN (Answer Sheet*) link. Thread Count* heading would display categories. Then, such as under TradeMark or NonProfit, you would have the best specific Q/A and dialogue. To alleviate SuN staff extra work, this responsibility would be given to chat mentors who would not only search the Thread postings of SuN Forums but also any chat postings and then submit to SuN for Answer Sheet entries. Three ways of SuN making sure we succeed. #1. posting as we do now. #2. Chat rooms. #3. Answer Sheet*. Once upon a time I purchased the domain threadpeople.com because I thought it would be neat to create an "answer sheet" with "thread count" categories with the answers taken from various small business forums. Problem? Cooperation from all sites like SuN. But this wonderfull resource for smallbusiness and other major and necessary life issues i think would be such a motivational resource for speeding up the process of getting products, services, organizations to market. Something has to be done. We wade through so much conversational crap when it`s imperative that we be speeding directly to the million dollar goal. Thanx for listening. Maybe when I continue ThreadPeople.com.net.us you will have this in place so we can click on SuN logo at ThreadPeople for the definitive small business answer sheet. And there`s the pitch...! A swing and it`s hit to far right field... Thanx for listening.

Holy crap Daniel! (Did I just say that out loud?) Just chiding! :)

I`m trying to wrap my brain around your breathless paragraph.

Are you asking for a search engine and a way to talk to an experienced person in a particular field of business?

Are you also asking for a way to draw out the popular solution to previously visited scenarios?

I like it......I think. Especially the chat room idea.
