I`m certainly looking at my participation in the StartupNation Home-Based 100 as a marketing opportunity.  After setting up my my Jeff Fisher LogoMotives competition page, I created my own ad links in the margins of my blogfolio, on bLog-oMotives and on my Identity Crisis! blog.  I also posted an entry on bLog-oMotives which will be appear many other places, including my Facebook page, as a result of various feeds. The post also appears on my Amazon.com blog.  In addition, I posted a note on the Jeff Fisher LogoMotives Facebook page and a link on my MySpace page.  Links were also posted on several of the forums I visit on a regular basis. All of that took a little over an hour to accomplish.

Good luck to all who are participating.  Let the games begin!  - J.

Hi Jeff,

Of course you will look at it as a marketing opportunity. I think you always have done a fabulous job, of marketing You. I agree, good luck to all.
I spent some time this morning looking at the entries.  How impressive! Lots of amazing businesses and websites.  I didn`t participate last year, but I will be voting this year.    I did find, something I want.  I didn`t save it, so I have to go back and find it again.  I think it was the bed fan.  It sounds wonderful to be able to keep all your covers on you, and stay cool underneath.  Sounds like a great invention!

Anyway, back to you Jeff.  Good Luck!!

Janie -

Thanks so much for the note.

That bed fan does sound interesting.  Now I`ll have to look for it.  I do agree - there are some great entries and everyone should take the time to review as many as possible.

I should sell for that site! !! Post it when you find it, Jeff or Erin.  What`s magical about it, is you "DO" get to keep the covers on.  I love the covers, but kick them off all the time.  You know, for whatever reason you feel too hot.  Is it cause you`re old,.. or hot??, haha :)  The typical fan you use to try to cool you off, I don`t believe ,could compare to getting that cool air under your blankies...:)

Gosh Jeff, I don`t mean to get in the way of your thread.

Should we start a....."where is the bed fan company, post"? :), and get back to your post?

Again, Jeff, good luck!  I know you have an excellentt logo biz going on! :)

Jeff,

tipping my hat to a master marketer and longstanding StartupNation community member. Well done!

One question: is there a particular reason you didn`t use the various "Vote for Me" widgets we provided to all contestants? Wanting to learn what we can do better to make it easier for people to utilize social media to compete effectively.

Thanks,

Thanks Rich.

To be perfectly honest, the designer in me simply didn`t like the way the widgets looked.  They just seemed too big and clunky...I wanted something a bit more personalized.   :o)

Cool Jeff,
You obviously have the marketing opportunity well covered with this contest. That`s great. I  also blogged about our Wall Dressed Up entry in the "boomer" and "most innovative" categories of StartupNation Home-Based 100 too, and Startup Nation was kind enough to mention it in the last weekly newsletter (WOW, thanks, Startup Nation!).

I also put it on our "What`s New" page on our site and also Facebook, but you have certainly risen to the marketing challenge! I am going to put a link in our newsletter that will go out this month, but though we have our products on Amazon, we don`t have a blog set up there yet. That`s a good idea.

We are just trying to get the word out about our very cool mural product. We`ve been open for 11 months and marketing is such an ongoing project! We have learned a TON and continue to grow each and every day! This is a great opportunity! Vote for us too!

Thanks!
Carol
