actually, the online shop is a step in the direction of the `brick and mortor` store you want to open. it just seems to fit your lifeplan and circumstances a little better initially... rock on!!!

Now I didn`t mean to sound like I`m 12...<sing song voice>"Rich told me so"...he just pointed out the obvious that I was overlooking!  Of course what this community is for

OK, today`s my day to chime in on the coffee conversation. Y`all were havin` TOO much fun in here without me yesterday!

Brian Cleveland, StartupNation Internet Manager extraordinaire, and I were up late last night creating these new categories that you see on the forum today. It was actually a full team effort that has been evolving over the past week, but last night was the moment when it went live. So, when the migration was completed a little after 11pm, I was wired & wide awake.

Winding down with ESPN highlights and the end of the Detroit Tigers game didn`t get me sleepy, but the beer I swilled (medicinal) at 12:30am did the trick. Only problem was, Moses the cat decided to pull his first all-nighter of the spring season. I waited til sometime after 1am & finally put my head on the pillow, only to check on him again at 2:38 (yes, I looked at the clock - my cell phone - & remembered the time. It was important that I tell Moses when he finally came in for breakfast at 6am how inconsiderate he had been before I praised him for patrolling the kingdom that is our neighborhood and keeping it safe from dragons & such.)

Which brings me to my coffee choice of the day. I normally wait until I get to StartupNation HQ before imbibing in the Starbucks blend that we sport here. But today I just couldn`t hold out. I actually NEEDED caffeine to get through my 10 minute commute! Oh blessed day, there is a Starbucks right on my way.

"Venti Hazelnut no-whip Mocha for Joe please."

My local Starbucks always asks for your first name so that they can call out ...

"Venti Hazelnut no-whip Mocha for Joe!" when your drink is ready.

Joe Jackson is my pizza-ordering name and it`s become my coffee ordering name too. I think it started years ago when people just wouldn`t hear the `l` in Joel when I`d order pizza over the phone because things are always noisy in the kitchen (where apparently they answer the phone) of a pizzaria. And Shoeless Joe is my favorite baseball player of all time.

Ok, the fancy Starbucks drink is gone - time to hit the StartupNation kitchen for some Starbucks House Blend - medium in a StartupNation mug.

It`s gonna be an outrageously spectacular StartupNation day!!

Good morning, everyone!!! It`s an absolutely gorgeous morning here in Northwest Ohio!! I must get to work soon, but I had to check in with this fun group first.

Joel and company, the categories look great. That was the first thing I reviewed this morning. Thanks for all your hard work! I hadn`t found StartUpBucks yet, so I`m glad you posted. Sounds like you had a wild night. Maybe we need a late-night group on here too where we can all share a beer or two.

Greetings from Jersey.  I feel like I don`t belong in here...I only drink coffee on the week-ends, when I`m reading the NYT`s.  During the week, it`s tea....I think `cause all I have to do is plug in the electric kettle and poof, hot water for tea.

Categories are great...very organized.   I was thinking of a new one yesterday.  Inventions or ideas for the home entrepreneur.  For example, wouldn`t it be great if someone could invent a small office appliance that`s a `fridge on one side and a dishwasher on the other?  This way I`d never have to leave my office...lol

Or what if we could create a S.U.N radio network, where you could hear these forums on the air.   It would be such great company.

At risk of sounding completely out of the loop technologically, what exactly is a podcast?

A podcast is simply recorded audio content that is available through the internet for listening at your convenience.

The StartupNation Radio show is available as a podcast after it has aired nationally on radio stations.

Check out this blog to learn more about my addiction to podcasts.

You can always search for keywords on the StartupNation website (the search box is in the upper right corner of each page) to see if there are articles or radio shows or on demand seminars or podcasts! about that topic.

Like the "10 Steps to Open for Business," for example?
