Who would like to start a forum for people who help startups?

I`m interested in doing this with people who subscribe to the teachings and research findings of Dr. Amar Bhide at Columbia University www.bhide.net

Dr. Bhide has found that businesses don`t start like the Small Business Administration says they should start, with formal market research and formal strategic planning. His research shows that it is the rare exception for a business to have a written business plan prior to the first sale.

I talk about this each month at the IDEA Cafe, a free meeting I started here in Denver over 10 years ago. A few months ago I made it a meetup.com group to be helpful to others who would like to start a similar group in their respective neighborhoods. http://ideacafe.meetup.com

Email me if you`d like more information, or see my website www.JohnWren.com.

Hi John
I have been a business catalyst (great name!) and accelarator (waow!) here, in France for over 12 years in the tech field. Some were successes, some were so so and two went under. This is the reality of life. But a real entrepreneur never gives up and in fact never stops being an entrepreneur. So I think your intitiative goes in the right direction because an entrepreneur feels very lonely. This is why I believe SuN fulfils a very important need.
Good luck anf GO!

I thought this was a forum for people who help startups...?  Or are you talking about something else here?

I`ve gotta go with jellynet, too. Isn`t that what`s StartupNation all about? Or is this a different venture under discussion?
