Hi everyone!

I am in the process of expanding my vintage clothing business and am in need of $15k in capital to purchase inventory and expand my web presence.  Aside from traditional banks, Prosper.com, family/friends, are there any investors out there that invest in this type of business?  My findings thus far show little to no interest in retail.

I am willing to pay 12% interest and have the loan paid in 2 years.  I have a business plan and have 8-10 years of experience in this field. I `ve had an eBay business for the past 4 years and am ready to turn this to a full time venture.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi Stacie,

Have you ever considered tapping your existing customer database? You mentioned doing this for over 4 years on ebay.... hopefully you managed to keep a database of all your prior clients, if so, I`d tap them for much of the needed funds...

If they know you, like you and trust you, you may be able to get away with selling them some coupons/gift certificates that may be twice the value --

Example....

Hey guys & ladies,

I`m in the pre-launch mode of starting a full-blown vintage boutique business and I`ll have some unique, never-sold before items that I`ll be adding to the site and for those of you who purchase a $25 gift certificate in advance, I`ll add an additional $15 to the value, thus give you $40.00 worth of buying power to use as you like...

And, for those of you who purchase the gift certificates in advanced, you`ll be have access to our online store 1-week before we make it available to the public...

----------

That`s just a rough draft without any thinking into it, but you can word it in such a way that your audience understands it.

If you have a huge database of prior customers, this could work out very well for you... when you`re low on cash, always tap the prior clients!

Just a thought anyways!
