Well I'm currently out of work and was searching around for some info when I came across this forum. This seems like a great site and maybe you guys could help me out, I currently have a thousand dollars that I want to do something with. Now I know a thousand isn't much but is there anyway I could flip it or put it into a website? I know the question is really general but I'm lost in the computer business world. I want to eventually start a business online but was thinking I could make some quick money in order to start that business. Thanks for any advice or information.

Given that you're currently out of work, I'd recommend that you hang on to your money. Your idea to "flip" or otherwise make a quick profit with a website isn't going to work.

In my judgment, you stand better chances at the Black Jack table or Roulette.

Don't fall for any of these "Get Rich Quick Schemes". The only ones that make money are the people behind, because they will take yours.

Sorry. Good luck!

Mark

Unfortunately Mark is right. There is  no easy way to make quick money. Otherwise we'd all be rolling in the dough.

However, if you're interested in starting a website business you can certainly do so wtihout spending too much cash. You might try an affiliate type site where you set up a website to provide information about a topic you have an interest in or knowledge of. You then add links, graphics, buttons that send readers to your affiliates. If they purchase something you get a commission. It takes time however to get enough viewers to provide you with any meaningful income.

If you check out the blog below you will find information about these types of website businesses. I did this myself and had decent sales. I also wrote ebooks to sell, but my biggest money generator was with the affiliate that is discussed in my blog in the Internet Biz area. That same affiliate builds your website and hosts it. Very reasonalble costs too.

A thousand bucks to start a business isnt even enough to get the ball rolling.  Hang on to your money.  I have no idea what your skillset is, but if you want to start a business with nothing - your only option is a service related industry.  You could possibly get a cleaning contract for janitorial services, contract for errands or deliveries, contract to be the pilot car for wide loads, contact car dealerships or trailer manufacturing about contracting vehicle movements, do hot shots for oil companies.  Just a few that come to mind - none of which cost anything to start but time effort and energy and you can probably make enough cash to get the bills paid. Dont waste a dime of it on some flip houses for no money scheme.  You dont need to be thinking flip anything.

Good Luck

Starting up is one of the hardest things for any business to do. It took me 2 years to get flat on my feet. Never go for the get quick rich scams and make sure you like the business you're involved in.

I agree with that, it was really hard to establish a business, I've been experience it when my family decided to start a small business, there's a lot of things to consider and to prepare, it was a very hassle and streessful days for me. But were lucky that were able to succeed in that business.

You can check out affiiliate marketing...which i believe its the easiest

way to make money online but its NOT GET RICH QUICK. You can

take alook at a site created my john reese, its called

http://www.opportunity.com

and its a membership site but john reese will educate you on affiliate

marketing. if you have 1000 dollars the price is only 39 dollars a month.

You can check it out for one month and if you don't like it..which i doubt...you

can cancel anytime. Theres also a affiliate marketing

method called Bum Marketing..Which you join a affiliate program for free

and then you write and submit articles for free...which will send traffic to

the website and if someone buys, you will get a check in the mail.

Also google ewen chia and rosalind gardner there affiliate marketing experts

hope that help
