I`m looking to get into the lawn care business for some income.  Do you recommend buying one (buying someone`s clients)?  If so, how times the monthly income should I pay?

Or would it be best to start one from "scratch"?

Start from scratch. That way your startup costs are the equipment you actually use, and you can see if you like the business. You also can see if you`re comfortable running a business. If you spend a lot to buy someone`s business and it turns out you don`t have a "head for business," then you`re stuck trying to sell the business to someone else. Meanwhile, your money`s all tied up.
