Rat City Rollergirls is a group of roller derby chicks.  We all know what Starbucks does.  Any likelihood that consumers would see the Rat City Rollergirls logo and think Rat City Rollergirls are somehow endorsed or connected with Starbucks - considering how different coffe and roller derby are?  Or, are they just too different and not confusingly similar?  Would it matter that Rat City Rollergirls use the logo in a Seattle-based roller derby league?

I don`t think so. The "ciricle" is just that, and there only are a finite number of ways to put lettering into that circle.True, the image in the middle is vaguely similar, but when taken together with the name, I can`t see that simply by viewing the logo anyone would confuse it with Starbucks. That`s my thinking, anyway. :-)

Other than Starbucks, who as I understand it filed an inquiry but never a court action, I don`t think anyone will presume a tie, but rather if anything, a sort of spoof.  If your objective is to allude to some sort of tie-in, I don`t see it.
