I noticed our website had a lot of activity this morning, then I found out why.

And they even took their own pictures, which are very good! Someday soon I will need to redo our pictures on our site. But right now, I am very thankful to get a little free PR! So if you sell a product, think about who might be interested in featuring it.

I totally agree. It can make a big difference when journalists can interact with and experience your product. Although it can be a major expense to send product out to journalists, I always say pick and choose your top tier and then work your way down. Like anything, sometimes you have to give something away in order to see a return.

Of course, it also depends on what your product is, but I`ve found that a strong pitch and high-res photos can encourage interest from journalists.
