as a designer I hate to see the design of a website compromised by advertisements. Many users even click away from websites which contain tons of advertisements.  Unless you are seriously generating profits from the ads I would sudgest removing them.

 

the website looks very flat.  Theres many new easy ways to make your current design "pop"  You need some graphics in there, quality ones.
