Hello everyone,

I'm an experienced software developer looking for ideas for an online application/site (e.g. membership-based) or software product. I've developed a number of products for my employer and am looking for both a good sales/marketing partner and a good idea to help bring a new app to market. My initial thought is to team up and supply the development in return for equity in the venture.

Please email me at nbbrady@yahoo.com if you are interested.

Thank you,

Nathan

Just as style is an often overlooked but very critical attribute of writing, coding standards are also an often overlooked but very critical attribute of software development.

LinkedIn is one place that is cool to start with if you are interested in starting up your online business. You can build your online profile there and meet people and groups that might need your service.

Starting with what you know already is always a good plan because you already have an understanding of the market in question. The chances are you already use forums and discussion groups connected with your hobby or interest and so you already have an established market place. Forums also provide a wealth of hot ideas. Just look for the questions that come up time and time again where people are desperate to find a solution and see if you can come up with a software idea that will help.

It is also much easier to target your marketing for your software if you work within narrower niches and often much quicker to establish yourself in a market place.
