There is a growing businesses practice of requiring new hires to provide their Facebook and other social media passwords as a condition of employment.  A bill was introduced in congress to ban this practice.  It was defeated by a narrow margin.

However, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D.-Conn.) is planning on to introduce a similar bill.  He needs your support.  So, contact your state senators and get them behind this bill.  If you don’t, your employers could wind up with full access (the same access you have) to your social medial accounts.
