Planga, the social system for universities, is about 95% ready for implementation. We have already begun marketing to universities, and have clients lined up to license and implement once we are complete. We are really excited to begin expanding, and we need a new rock-star CTO that is capable of managing all aspects of the technical end of the project. We are also looking for a few more talented, ninja-level developers (both front-end and back-end).

CTO candidates should be fully capable of hiring/managing developers, delegating development inititaives, and making high-level technical decisions. They should also be elite developers in their own right, and willing to focus on coding themselves. Additional developers should be elite in their respective specialization, whether it be front-end (HTML/CSS/JS/graphics/design) or back-end (Python/PHP/SQL/etc.). All candidates should be extremely ambitious, entrepreneurial, and risk-tolerant.

The software is written using dedicated Python and PHP, and JavaScript. We also use: HTML, CSS, jQuery, JSON, SQL, & Facebook API. We currently use Amazon Web Services to host.

It organizes all extracurricular life on college campuses by tying students, campus organizations, and events into a single cohesive system. This allows students to discover events of interest, keep track of the groups they are members or fans of, and see what their friends are doing. It also allows campus groups a way to manage their members and to promote themselves and their events. The application is cutting-edge and highly social, and includes dynamic linked calendaring, facebook and twitter integration, news feeds, an A.I. recommendation engine, threaded discussions, etc. We also do analytics, and have expansion plans to make campus academics social as well.
