I have noticed there are a lot of social networking sites today ie facebook, myspace, linkedin, twitter.

Since these sites reach the customer in such a unique way is there a need for business to take advantage of this?

If a "professional social networker" could set up and update these sites for a business would there be a market for that?  You could set up 5 or so profile pages on these different social sites and update them on a weekly or monthy basis.

Is there a market for this, how much would you charge a business, is this even feasible?

I`d love to hear some feedback on this.................

Thanks

Basically it depends on how much ROI you can offer. Social Media Marketing is already in use by various marketing individuals or companies as a way to develop consumer awareness, Relations, & Goodwill. ( but only as a part of their social marketing strategy )

There are virtual assistants who specialize in Internet/Social Media. I think the market would be very specific to people who recognize or believe there is some real value in 1. participating in this type of practice and 2. paying someone to do it for them. The jury is still out on many about the tangible benefits of social media, so that would be your first challenge.

You should research it a bit more. If you offer positive ROI and can use web stats to back it up I think most sane business people would go for it.
