Could you do a critique for me on my new web site. The address is www.skillsmaster.co.uk.

I would appreciate it if you could find time to answer some or all of the following:

  1. Is it easy to understand exactly what product is being sold?
  2. How easy is it to navigate through and find what you are looking for?
  3. What is your perception of the business behind the site?
    1. Size
    2. Professionalism
  4. Do you like the content?
  5. Is the content sufficient in detail?
  6. What about jargon too much/ok
  7. Do you like the way the site has been structured? (content/sidebars/footer/etc)
  8. What do you think of the colours used?
  9. Graphics quality and their loading time?

Thanks.

Hi Steve,

Interesting business.  Here are my thoughts to your questions after checking out the site. In ().

  • Is it easy to understand exactly what product is being sold? (Not really. My best guess is it is some type of people management software)
  • How easy is it to navigate through and find what you are looking for? (The navigation was fine but it was almost too much information to digest)
  • What is your perception of the business behind the site?

  1. Size (big)
  2. Professionalism (very professional)

  • Do you like the content? (I would have liked it to be to the point faster or more streamlined with bolder points and less info)
  • Is the content sufficient in detail? (yes)
  • What about jargon too much/ok (too many words I think.  This really seems like a product that would almost 100% have to be sold by real humans for the most part)
  • Do you like the way the site has been structured? (content/sidebars/footer/etc) - (the site design is pretty clean)
  • What do you think of the colours used? (colors are fine)
  • Graphics quality and their loading time? (loads quick on my end. The scrolling header is a bit annoying)   Hope all this helps.  All the best in business in 2012 and keep us posted as to how sales and marketing goes in the future.
