After reading through the comments, this blog seems to be more a forum for self advancement and mutual admiration. If there is someone out there that can give an experienced and frank opinion of NOT only what the problems are BUT also how to fix them to increase ROI. I would appreciate it. www.enocis.org

The site may not be finished?

There is a little inconsistancy between pages. For example the "history, mission, and purpose" pages have a different layout and color than the other pages. And a couple do not have a menu on the page (important for people to get around).

The text color... I suggest changing to a darker shade or even black. It will make it easier to read.

Viewing it with IE7 a few pages (TOEFL for one) had the content pushed way down the page. It`s a formating/code problem.

You have some pages with different domain: http://enocis.bravehost.com/index.html

Some pages do not load http://www.enocis.org/apply_on_line.html

As for the content... there is no listing of courses .

Recomendation: the site needs a thorough checking to make sure all the links and pages work.

There needs to be more about what you offer (your course work) and how much does this cost?

I second Roland`s comments.

Also, I`m not sure what the usefulness of the Google PR bar is for; most viewers will have no idea what it even means. And what is the purpose of the "Embedded Javascript" message? Personally it makes me think there is something to be suspicious about when seeing it. Both of these display on the bottom left of the page in IE, but are out of place in Firefox. Firefox displays the left menu fine, but it is out of whack in IE; this may be a css issue you need to resolve. I think the main thing here is consistency across pages, and browsers. You should also consider a doctype and validating it.

Is your right column in some type of include or Iframe? In Firefox there is a horizontal scrollbar below it.

You don`t have, on all of your pages, a menu link back to your home page.

Your page content, particularly the lower half, needs a little tweaking for things like commas, wording, etc. For a college/education based site, proper writing should be an absolute. I`m not an English major, but even I can tell it needs some work. So, when I read your main page content, my thought is "Geez, if they can`t write correctly, how are they gonna help me and my educational needs?"

Overall, I think that consistency and attention to detail will make a difference.

I think you have too many buttons in the left column.  Some of them can be combined like `our mission` and `our purpose` as well as `financial aid` and `scholarships`.  Less buttons (choices) will make the site easier to take in and navigate.

Steve valid point and as the ENOCIS site grows common areas like those mentioned are combined or relegated to buttons on secondaty pages to allow room for the most important issues that a student may need.

As ENOCIS is a constantly evolving program we try to update it as frequently as possible with more timely information. If you would like to respond to info@enocis.org I would appreciate your sending me your list of buttons you would like to see on each page to better serve the need of the underserved peoples of the world.

I cannot come up with the right buttons "to better serve the need of the underserved peoples of the world."  Your industry is not my industry.  That`s your job.  But as a designer, I can point out the need for better simplification in your navigation.
