I`m a StartupNation fan. This site has proved invaluable to me, and many other entrepeneurs across the globe. It is here that we learn the basics of building a small buisiness that can compete in the global economy. Success means worldwide success. So, dont restrict entry to the competition, make it ` The Best Home Based Businesses In The World `. Some of us guys out here would love to compete.

But then we`d have to make it the Home-Based 1,000!

More seriously - you`re right, we should definitely open it up. maybe we can create something - let me work on it.

The reason it`s America-focused is because it`s an environment where,
  • we can ensure press coverage for winners (a big incentive to participate)
  • our advertisers and sponsors (or at least the divisions we work with) are based!

But like you say, this is definitely a global trend and community and I think it would be incredibly interesting to profile home-based entrepreneurs from across the globe.
