Well my wife lost a good friend to chromes (sp) disease a few weeks back. Snail her friend was a huge Myspace fan since she spent most of her time in bed. Well we went to her page and started reading all the comments about her like “You will not be forgotten…..” etc. That got us debating about the fact should Myspace have a dedicated area for the members that have passed? It all boils down to ethics, it’s a community site and we all know that when someone quits using the service for say a year they might just delete the account which in this case would be really sad. In real communities there’s graveyards why shouldn’t Myspace have the same thing? What does the SuN community think about this topic. I know it could be deemed a bit morbid but just think about all those kids in VT that had myspace accounts don’t they have the right to live on even in cyberworld?

I am sorry to hear about your wife`s friends death. But I would like to flip this around. What about a site that is geared only to those who have passed. It sounds bad. But being in the military I have friends everywhere, so this would allow many people who either couldn`t be at a funeral or who were there and just wanted their thoughts public about this person. It might also help with the grieving process.

Yeah it could also work as a system for websites to check against. It`s a very morbid business but it is needed.
