I am a student, currently studying in Hong Kong. I aspire to own the finest fashion store in Jamaica catering to upper and upper middle class people. I also would like to open a clothing wholesale to cater to people of the middle class and lower class in the country's capital.

I am thinking of buying the clothing in Asia and ship to Jamaica. Do you think this would be cost effective, if so, how is this possible?

What is the cost like, to ship to Jamaica from Hong Kong, and what about customs?

What is the best way to do this?

As I said I am a student, (masters in International Business and Finance) and I am fairly new to the business world. This is just a dream and I am working to make it a reality.

Well I believe for shipping from Hong Kong to Jamaica, you will have to buy in bulk enough to fill a 20 feet shipping container. Try to post your requirement on a B2B site such as alibaba.com and ask garment manufacturers to give you a total cost including shipping.
