First thing is to get rid of plastic usage as much as possible! Using eco friendly products. Using recycled products. I have a pair of slippers that is made up of recycled material!! This might sound like a cliche but i have this policy of planting one plant more in my garden every year.

Here are a few more green tips to add to the list:

-Always bring your own re-usable bags when shopping

-Buy and electric / hybrid vehicle if possible

-compost

-grow your own food

-donate to environmental charities

-volunteer for local green communities

I think it is very important that we all try to preserve as many of our natural resources as possible. Protecting the environment is something we all should take as seriously as possible.

First off, know the difference between a legitimate effort in going green and simply doing something for the sake of image. Minimize water and electricity consumption, easy on the trash, or even take more walks instead of taking your car. Whatever you do, stick to it 100% and don't jump into it half-heartedly.

I prefere improving the recycling in every town and making the green button in every electronic device that saves energy whenever your using this device that's beside people taking car to turn off the devices when not using them. This will save a lot of money in this world not less than billions if applied carefully

It is more than just recycling.  In addition to other modes transportation like biking or public transit, using car sharing services like Zipcar are also great options.  Even if you are in a situation where you must use a car frequently doing small things like carpooling and maintaining optimal tire pressure can reduce the amount of emissions.  

At the office we started to implement behavioral changes to reduce our environmental footprint.  We use the dishwasher in the break room to wash coffee mugs and plates reducing water wasted from hand washing.  We also order green office supplies in bulk to lessen our shipping frequency reducing the necessary amount packing materials needed and the emissions from trucks.

Consume less. Many businesses are wasteful and buy all kinds of crap they don't really need, people should take more advantage of buying second hand, upcycling, or finding alternatives. It's also constantly tempting to buy many things cheap, which invariably means they'll be made with materials that are damaging to the environment in production and biodegrade (most plastics for example), sometimes it's unavoidable, but always try to buy natural things or stuff which is made sustainably and biodegrades well.
