Hi everyone.  With the SuN community spread all over the country (and world), for those of you in the US, it would be fun to hear what everyone has planned for the most Thankful day of the year. (and even if you don`t celebrate this holiday, we`d love to hear about your day too)

My husband I have travelled from sunny Florida to sunny Oklahoma to spend the day with his family.  I was hoping for a big turkey dinner with all the trimmings, and of course, leftovers.  Well, it seems that the family took a vote and decided to go out to eat this year.  Looks like we`ll be going to the local Golden Corral, so everyone will get what they want, and lots of seconds...but no leftovers.  It will still be fun though and a nice stress-free day for everyone.

I hope all you guys travelling have a safe trip, and the rest of you don`t get too stressed out/worn out with the planning and cooking.  If you have time to check in here, please share your day with everyone else.

Happy Thanksgiving Startup Nation!

I can`t imagine anyone celebrating a day that doesn`t honor our native friends. That`s why I wholeheartedly support the various TrueAmerican websites, and I`m casino hopping with my friend Allison. If we make it up the mountain. We might not. Depends entirely on the weather and my hangover. Just Kidding! HappyThanksgiving to all the Children of the world. ~daniel~

For first time in quite a few years I am not going to get a turkey nor honey baked ham for Thanksgiving this year. Instead, (I can hear the `boo` coming my way already!) I am going to make my famous garlic crabs - to thank my mom for being here since August to help me out!! Mom is not into turkey or ham but loves fresh crabs.

I think the dinner will make her very happy. Then we`re going on a cruise after that.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

We just finished driving about eight hours through lots of rain, snow, fog and an amazing thunderstorm on our way to surprise a good friend by just showing up at her door for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow.  We`ve got about another seven hours of driving tomorrow - so we`ll be up and on the road by about 5:00 a.m.  Our friend has no idea we`re coming.  Her husband, mother and sister-in-law have all been helping us plan this adventure.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

We`re not cooking this year... just eating

The inlaws have bought one of the those ready-made meals.  This will be my first experience with that. I`m very traditional, so next year Thanksgiving is in my house with a home cooked-made from scratch-prep for 3 days-stress at grocery stores meal. {sigh}

My new bride Suzanne and I are heading to her brother`s house about an hour away for an afternoon full traditional turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, pecan pie, mashed potatos Thanksgiving dinner. Suzanne`s mom and 1 of her sisters (with family) will also be there.

We`ll have the Detroit Lions football game on in the background and everyone will complain about how bad the Lions are again this year. I won`t care too much since I`m a baseball guy & the Tigers made it all the way to the World Series this year!

But since we won`t have leftovers, I just picked up a 6.5 lb Amish turkey breast this morning and Suzanne & I are going to do it all over again at our house tomorrow for just the 2 of us. That way we`ll have the wonderful leftovers for the rest of the long weekend.

Joel,

Can we come to your house tomorrow??

Golden Corral won`t let us take leftovers home.  Otherwise, it`s weiners and chips for us tomorrow, back in Fort Lauderdale!
