I sold insurance for 3 years, its not a bad job.  Make sure your working for a reputable company that offers good products and it's perfectly acceptable.

In stead of selling insurance and being quick about getting them a quote. I tell my clients to have a consulting session with their client. Find out what is important to them get to know them.

When I use this approach I close 100% ( I may still have to follow up with them a few times)
