Do you have an interest in real estate investing or are you a real estate professional?  If so would you be interested in networking with like minded people?

Hi Nicole...

Yes, I would definitely be interested!  What did you have in mind?

Hello,  I`m a mortgage loan officer.  I would like to network.  I can lend in MI, as well as VA..  - About 35 states.  I sometimes come across people interested in purchasing a home, who have not talked to a Realtor yet.

Terrific!  What I am envisioning is a nationwide group of like minded people who are interested in real estate speaking to one another via regularly scheduled conference calls.  The format could be where a designated host/hostess/speaker would present information within a specified time frame then the group could discuss it and/or encourage each other to reach our self-determined goals.  What are your thoughts on this format, topics or do you believe another format would produce more benefits for you?

Nicole...I think that sounds like a great idea.  I like the format.  I guess we need to figure out who we would want to speak/present?

It might be easier if we start with brainstorming a list of topics which would appeal to both real estate professionals and investors.  Then based on interest rank the topic suggestions.

If that is agreeable then let`s start by throwing out some topic ideas.  Then next week I will post a complete list of all the topic ideas which can then be ranked according to interest.  Then we can determine who we want to speak/present on the topic.  Does that work?

If so here goes...:

  • Short Sales
  • Real Estate & Roth IRA`s
  • National Economic Forecasts: Which economic predictors/factors have the greatest impact? (How new construction starts and real estate resales impact retail and other areas of the economy.)
  • How to work with the system (Planning & Zoning)
  • Structuring Win-Win Negotiations

Sounds like a good idea.  I will brainstorm some topics as well.  I am trying to get a friend of mine who is in real estate in Colorado to join SUN as well...

Why not use the Forum at Startup Nation. If anyone has Skype - then a conference call could be used.

I am not familiar with Skype.  Is Skype a software program or a service?
